The Oscars

What are the Oscars?
The Oscars are the biggest film business in the world. Any one in the film business can win an award. Oscars have been going since 1929 still it is the best film business. Oscars are gold statues given to winners. No one knows why it is called the Oscars, but it is rumoured to because of academy members through statue looked like her uncle Oscar and it stuck to that.

What is the Academy?
Oscars where organised by the Academy of Motion picture, Arts and sciences known as the Academy made of professional people in the film biz. It was set up in 1927 with 36 members, now there are more than 6,000 members. Members are the one who wins an Oscar and who ever wins one is automatically asked to be an academy member.
